ServSafe Food Certification
Food safety and sanitation training and certification is a great advantage in North Carolina!
The NC food service rules state that each food service establishment is eligible to receive a TWO POINT BONUS on each health inspection if a full time manager or employee has had at least 12 hours of instructor led food safety training and passed the ServSafe® exam. NC honors this certification for 3 years*.
All Raise-The-Grade ServSafe® Food Safety & Sanitation classes meet the NC requirements.

- a class packet (includes informational handouts and various learning aids)
- exam administration.
Class Materials
It is also necessary that each student have the required class materials:
- a ServSafe® Essentials 5th Edition book
- the official exam answer sheet.
